Being in Kyoto, we can’t pass up on visiting the first-ever store of % Arabica and what they consider now a global flagship store. I’ve read about the origins of % Arabica — how he started it here in Kyoto. The struggle of getting this specific lot and now being able to lease it until he wants to. On top of it all, it’s in Japan’s historic district, on a riverside, in what is probably one of the dreamiest places in Japan.
